i'm just saying....

Please pardon the length of the post below.
And I still have things to say.
And I said some combination of "adore" and "wonderful" and "love" in about each sentence.
Apparently, the chai nog has made me loopy.
I promise never again to have an 97 page blog post.
And as Mara would say,

Dear Google,
Thanks for letting me post a bajillion pages and pictures without eating it.
You're the best.
Sincerely yours,
Gabby

whirlwind....

I think I'm going to start my own reality show....
It's going to involve me traveling the country
and
well
internationally, too, of course...
And meeting scrapping friends.
Because really?
It is just far too much fun.
However, I need to find a good editor for my show.... so it won't be like, say, Laguna Beach, where everyone looks crazy nuts insane. Wait. I think everyone on that show is crazy nuts insane.
Hee.... bad example...

So.
Where to begin?
Let's back up a month or so...
Mara had the ONLY pic of us together from her whole visit. We are smrt. Well, we are.... we just never handed the cameras off to anyone else-- except each other. And once to Mikey... Her visit was just such good times. Talking, scrapping, pizza eating (altho it was no Lou whatever's, I'm sure!), Thai food, hanging with Jess, driving all around Central North Carolina, Mara's first hayride (what?! egads. good thing you have me, my dear!)-- just BEING with one of my oldest and dearest friends... thank you, sweetie... I cannot wait to see you again. And it best be for longer next time.... ;) And perhaps with Cohen, too, next time, although then Max might adore you slightly less than he did (although I doubt it...). I love how everytime we're together-- it's like no time has passed at all. We just immediately pick up and move forward. Perfect.

Had a wee break...

And then headed to Portland... I had to work, Mike came out a day later and got to sleep in and drink beer and hang out with one of his best friends-- Evan-- we adore him... if we have a boy baby ever, he just might carry his name... Evan and Jenny are two of our fave people... and Porland? Ummm. Yeah. I'd move there in a heartbeat. So green, so wonderful, so so so stinking much to DO....

However, if you click on that pic and make it bigger-- what you see is-- RAIN... holy cats, batman... so so so so so much rain. Everyone we talked to said, ummm, yeah, this is a lot of rain, even for us... So Evan, Jenny, Mike and I pretty much just ate and drank our way through the weekend when I wasn't learning about evaluation... But it was amazing. And we must do it again. I repeat, must.

From Portland, I took the world's shortest trip EVER up to Vancouver. So we had like 42 hours together, the Gs did-- but really-- we needed about 42 days... I got to sleep under a canopy of stars in a bunk bed... got to meet the Jaxon, who I thoroughly adore-- he entertained me like nobody's business-- and decided I was OK as soon as I told him burping made me feel comfortable. Ha. And Dren. Who just seriously rocks. And picks up sushi at 10:30 at night. And laughs when I drop it all on the floor. When I met Gen in Vegas for CHA-- I was immediately amazed by how much I simply adored her. I hardly even knew the girl before I met her there... but. Ummm. Yeah. Two peas, one pod, check please? She is hilarious. She is just so herself. She is honest and straightforward and caring and warm and wonderful and simply, truly, completely amazing. And I adore her. So so so much. Our visit exceeding any expectation I possibly had in my head. I left inspired to create and just all warm and fuzzy because I love that girl-- and her beautiful family-- so so so much.

And theeeeeeeeeeeeeen... I literally unpacked, did some laundry, repacked, and headed back to the airport to head to Omaha (somewhere in middle America). Got to stay with the Glue for my visit-- and Alex and Ben (who immediately amused me with games of Don't Break the Ice and CandyLand first thing Saturday morning)... Those two boys are hilarious-- so much personality in them. Had such an amazing time with you, my glueygirl-- even if we didn't get much time just to hang out-- it was a busy weekend! Thank you so so so much for having me. We must do it again. Soonly.

I borrowed this pic from Becky Novacek's blog....

This is all of us supporting an amazing cause at Becca's JDRF crop on Saturday... Holy crop! Ha. Yeah, you know I've been waiting to say that... I've been to a number of crops (and now e is laughing because she knows how successful those usually are not) and this one??? Totally above and beyond anything I've ever seen... And Becca's mom? Perhaps the best baker/candy maker in the world. Yum. Need more carmeeeeeeeels. Sweet (and fraking HILARIOUS) Kelly got us all albums to work on-- and she and Miley made me laugh so hard I thought I just might pee myself a few times... Got to see Becky again, and meet Denise-- that Omaha is a scrapping mecca, I tell you... AND I got fed pizza and Chipotle. And we know a full Gab is a happy Gab...

Sunday-- I got to go to the Omaha zoooooooooooo, which was a very happy place. Got to meet Holly's ADORABLE girlies and hang with A&B some more... Such good times. So in love with all the Omaha kidlets-- they are EXACTLY what I expected... and more. Ooooh-- and I had a flying monkey Sunday night. That luckily had nothing to do with the monkeys at the zoo... And I am pressing my luck with blogger-- so those photos will stay away for the time being. But they will be here. Oh yes. They will.....

And now I am home.
Momentarily.
I am ready for Thanksgiving and family and all those good things. Ready to see E and my boylies this weekend.
And Max?
He's ready for me to be home...
See that fuzzy striped thing in the foreground of the picture below?

Yeah. That's my scarf. In the nest Max made for himself in my absence. Poor little dog....
Mike on the other hand did not build himself a nest made of my belongings in my absence. I think he watched sports and ate pizza. I'm OK with that.

Phew.
And this concludes the longest post ever.
Therefore, if Blogger doesn't eat it, I will be thoroughly shocked.
Love you girlies.
Happy November. Happy holiday drinks at Starbucks.
I am one blessed girlie. Thanks for always reminding me that the heart of life is just so so so good.
xoxox,
