day 2

<------ gahhhhhhhhh. I miss this big eyed boy. Enjoying some lovely Wisconsin weather and checking out his grandma in this picture. Ignore my giant nose trying to sneak into the shot.

On a more humorous note....
The top three favorite things I've heard since returning to work (not from immediate colleagues, but those random peeps you always run into in the bathroom, kitchen, parking lot)-- from more than one person each:
1. Did you have your baby?
2. Ohmygosh, you were SO huge. How much weight did you gain?
... and...
3. Have you been gone for awhile???

(answers, for all who are curious: 1. no, I'm thinking about gestating for another 9 months (and I'm curious if I still look as pregnant as I did to warrant this question). 2. You REALLY don't want to know, but thanks for asking... and 3. Nope. Here for the past 5 months. Where have you been?!)

Sigh. Back to it. Always a challenge when running on ever so little sleeps.

ready, set, don't go....

Dang you, country music.
I was doing OK this morning-- fed Ev, got him back to sleep, pumped, breakfast, walked Max, showered, ran out the door only about 15 minutes behind the "schedule" (<-- a nonexistent word in my life these days) I'd hoped for, and got in the car.
Turned on the radio, and for some reason went to a country station..... which decided it hated me and played that Billy Ray/Miley Cyrus "Ready, Set, Don't Go" song.
... and then I lost it.
I didn't even make it out of the driveway before I was sobbing.

That said, I think I've held it together pretty well today since then. Only a few more hours to go. OK, like 5, but who's counting other than me???
